Always Start with the Positives (Strengths)
- Positives must be genuine!
- People learn more from positive feedback than from negative
- Refer to “areas for improvement”, not “weaknesses”
- Don't be afraid of finding no fault - If the session is all positive, it is probably some of your best work as a coach!
Coaching is essential to success. Always start (and try to end) with positives!
